Although not part of the Treaty, they are attached to it (I understand) and are being used by some as authoritative documents. eg, as I've mentioned before, Declaration 27, about the primacy of European Law, over national Law, states. <BR/><BR/><B><I>"The fact that the principle of primacy will not be included in the future treaty shall not in any way change the existence of the principle and the existing case-law of the Court of Justice."</B></I><BR/><BR/>And remember, the ECJ is no independent court but is one of the EU institutions and, from my observations, is as intent on bringing about a federal Union as are some of the other institutions.Alfred the Ordinaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02806612975119244680noreply@blogger.com
