Renaud Dehousse offers a French view on the Irish ’no’ vote concerning the Treaty of Lisbon. The Telos article « Europe : un non de trop » (Telos, 17 June 2008) analyses the Irish referendum result, comments on the suitability of referenda, states that Europe has reached the limits of reform under unanimity rules and concludes that the willing states have to find the means to realise their projects without being held back by the partisans of ‘status quo’:
