Those interested in a quick view of the major issues discussed in the Council of the European Union can read the latest Report on proceedings in the Council's other configurations (dated 5 May 2010; document 9052/10; 9 pages).
The General Affairs Council (GAC) took note of the report at its meeting 10 May 2010 (conclusions, document 9559/10).

On a different note, Euroblogger Julien Frisch reminds us that the EU Council seems to have lost little of its legendary penchant for intransparency.
Yesterday Herman Van Rompuy, the President of the European Council, was convinced that national politicians will all convince their public opinions of the soundness of the exceptional measures to safeguard the stability of the eurozone.
Citizens may be fully aware that the stability of their money is at stake, as Van Rompuy concluded, but we are still bystanders instead of democratic stakeholders in these dealings at European level.
