Do you already know the date of the vote on the Treaty of the Eduskunta and Lagting? It's hard to find information on Finland unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteRight now, I have no exact dates, but my guess would be that the Finnish parliament could give its approval before the summer recess starts in late June (because the parliament in Finland already approved the Constitutional Treaty and the Lisbon Treaty is essentially a version with subtractions).
ReplyDeleteLagtinget, the local parliament of the Åland Islands, could protract its own vote on approval or rejection of the Treaty of Lisbon, bearing in mind that Åland tries to extract concessions on representation from the Finnish government and needs to explore the consequences of a vote leading to the rejection of the amending treaty.
