Democracy in Europe (28 April 2013): Barroso is no democrat

This week the president of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso told listeners from a number of think tanks that he was brave enough to use the word 'federalism', which he instantly corrupted by defining it as a 'federation of nation states', which means a 'confederation' despite the referral to Jacques Delors (SPEECH/13/346).
